| I know other islands use Komandoo for overbooking. Has this any negative on the island. I ask based on reviews I have read. Honest views welcome. | |

Honest views welcome. Billy Now you have touched on my 'Pet Hate' On our last two trips Komandoo has been used to accomadate over booking from Kuredu. Whilst I found it to have no effect on the enjoyment of our stay, it just slightly annoys me that Komandoo is then slightly busier than it need be. Ok 90% of the time this has no effect. But it makes getting an outside table for dinner a little more hit and miss. We went from 75% full to 100% at one stage. I think perhaps it gets to me that they have paid quite a bit less than me as well!

| RichardMust admit if I was on Kuredu. I noticed it was also offered on Meeru last year. Had we got the chance I would have jumped at it........................but................... - Quote :

The times it has happened to us are Easter and Christmas, both busy periods. If you are going outside those times it may not be an issue. Your choice should be based on other factors. Richard

| When we were there last october some guests had been shipped over from Meeru but I am fairly certain there were no people from Kuredu, the larger islands like the 2 mentioned and some others seem to constantly overbook which doescause a problem. We were on Reethi beach a few years ago and they were overbooking and they offered the Taj coral reef as a sweetener.BOB.G | |

| We had the offer to transfer from Kuredu to Meeru, which would have been a down grade in terms of price we paid, suppose if someone was to transfer from Meeru to Komandoo they could say the same, all depends on how much you paid the tour operator.
Now if it happened which island would Komandoo upgrade you to ?

Mick I think it would depend on the accommodation from and to Mick. As the islands are in the same class for me. A JWV on Meeru is superior to a WV on Kuredu. A WV on Meeru is also very nice and would be as good if not better than a O resort BV or JBV etc.

| There was one couple over from Kuredu who were loud and brashy and did spoil it for others at times. They particularly upset the bar staff who made complaints against them. They also sabotaged someones snorkelling gear but were seen doing it so hopefully are now banned from a return visit. Kuredu ought to vet the people they send over a little better. Apart from that one couple, all the others over from Kuredu behaved impeccably and repsected the fact they were very lucky with the upgrade - which is how it should be. | |

| Not sure the island has anything to do with the type of persons on them. How do you vet them.........check for tattoos or something?
At the end of the day a pig in a suit is still a pig and will do what it does!

| Lol - I agree it is difficult - but this couple were only interested in getting drunk all afternoon and night and being rowdy and loud. I'd have sent them back to Kuredu if it were up to me. Like I said, the other couples were toally respectful to the island and loved it for what it is - a peaceful piece of paradise. | |
